Removed Automatic Contact Creation on Message Received
Based on valuable feedback from users, the automatic contact creation feature upon message receipt has been removed. This change ensures greater control over how and when contacts are created in your CRM.
How It Works Now
When a new LinkedIn message is received:
- The system will attempt to link the message to an existing contact.
- If no matching contact exists, the system will retry after two minutes.
- During this time, users can automatically create a new contact through a workflow triggered by the “New Message” event. Once the contact is created, the message will then be associated with it automatically on the retry.
Why This Matters
This update gives users full control over contact creation, addressing a common concern about unnecessary or unintended contacts being added to the CRM.
Key Benefits:
- Prevents unwanted or duplicate contacts in the CRM
- Gives users full control over when and how contacts are created
- Maintains accurate, high-quality CRM data
- Ensures seamless message linkage even when contacts are created through automation
